J Street U Harvard presents Just Vision's "Encounter Point"

When: TONIGHT, December 6th 8:00pm
Where: Sever 103

All are welcome! Take a break from studying for a great film and free Middle Eastern food!

Just Vision’s award-winning documentary is about everyday leaders who refuse to sit back as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalates. The film follows a former Israeli settler, a Palestinian ex-prisoner, a bereaved Israeli mother and a wounded Palestinian bereaved brother who risk their lives and public standing to promote a nonviolent end to the conflict. Their journeys lead them to the unlikeliest places to confront hatred within their communities. The film explores what drives them and thousands of other like-minded civilians to overcome anger and grief to work for grassroots solutions. It is a film about the everyday leaders in our midst.

Welcome to the J Street U Harvard Webpage/Blog!

This is the inaugural post of the J Street U Harvard Webpage/Blog.  Come here to stay up on what we're doing on the Harvard campus and beyond to work for peace, prosperity and human rights in Israel/Palestine.  We'll try to maintain an updated list of campus events, our activities, the actions of our allies, ways to get involved, news and commentary.

Make sure to come hear our first speaker of the semester this coming Tuesday, Sept 28, at 5 pm (room TBD but likely in CGIS).  Elad Orian, the founder and head of COMET-ME (Community Energy Technology in the Middle East), will be speaking on the role that technology can play in bringing about peace.  See below for more details on COMET-ME and we'll send out the room announcement shortly!
